Timo Shanko is that rare talent who is a “first call” musician on two different instruments:  bass and saxophone.  He’s perfromed and recorded in a variety of different music genres and with various bands, such as G. love & Special Sauce, The Fully Celebrated Orchestra, The Slip, Dub Apocalypse, and many more.

Timo is also a voluminous transcriber of music by jazz musicians, such as Miles Davis, Coleman Hawkins, Ornette Coleman and John Coltrane.  Check out the music, upcoming gigs, videos, books and more!
